COSTA DEL SOL

For those looking for an economical holiday during the fall or over the Christmas / New Year’s season, this tour is ideal. The Costa del Sol is on the southern coast of Spain on the romantic shores of the Mediterranean. Quite literally, Costa del Sol means Coast of the Sun, as this area boasts 320 days of sunshine every year, enabling the visitor to enjoy miles of sandy beaches in addition to the local colour. Torremolinos is a small town bursting with Spanish character and is the busiest tourist centre in the Costa del Sol. The central traffic-free area will delight you with its maze of colourful boutiques, cafes and nightlife. There are long sandy beaches and a boardwalk with many cafes and bars.

The Hotel Barracuda in Torremolinos has been a favourite of our travellers for 14 years, largely due to the friendliness of the staff. This comfortable, informal hotel is located right on the beach, within walking distance of the centre of town. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, lounges, tennis courts and a large pool located within the gardens overlooking the sea. The evening entertainment program includes Flamenco shows, English movies, dancing to live music, bingo and card nights. The twin-bedded rooms all have telephone, fridge, balcony and satellite TV with English channels. Full breakfast, lunch and dinner (all buffet style), plus afternoon tea and coffee, are included daily.

We will be flying to the Costa del Sol with Air France, with a change of planes in Paris in each direction. On the way home from Spain at the end of the tour we will overnight at a moderate Paris hotel with dinner and breakfast included. Included during our stay there will be a city tour in which we will see the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, Arc de Triomphe, the Opera, Champs Elysees and much more.
