Join us on this unique and exciting cruise to Greenland, one of the world's biggest islands. Here the seas are chilled by cold currents caused by the meeting of the Arctic and North Atlantic Oceans, which results in deep fjords, seas of ice flows and icebergs. Greenland is also a place of wild and rugged scenery with steep mountains, valleys and small villages. When we cruise the coastline be on the look out for many animals such as polar bears, seals, whales, elk, reindeer and much more. We will also see remnants of the Norse Era as we visit the many ports on our itinerary.
In addition to Greenland we will also visit the lovely country of Iceland (known as the “Land of Fire and Ice”) and its capital Reykjavik where you will have the opportunity to enjoy a memorable swim in the Blue Lagoon. Other ports include the capital of the Danish Faroe Islands, a scenic archipelago of 18 islands, and also the Highlands of Scotland - as always a visual treat.
We will cruise with Fred Olsen Cruises, a British company whose First Class ships are large enough to be spacious and comfortable, and intimate enough to remain friendly and relaxed. The Boudicca has a light and airy design which provides a sense of welcome from the moment you step aboard. The distinctive “homey” flavour and personal service is a Fred Olsen tradition and one of the main reasons the cruise line has so many repeat passengers. The ship has all the facilities and activities you could wish for including a heated outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzis, fitness centre, library, card room, beauty salon, shops and a handy launderette. As for evening activities, there is entertainment nightly and a casino.
The Boudicca offers her passengers an impressive range of dining choices, from the formal to the more relaxed. The staterooms are spacious and well appointed with twin beds (convertible to a queen size), TV, safe, hairdryer, spacious closets and a private bathroom with shower only.
