CHINA. With an amazingly well-preserved history of 3,000 years, and beautiful, picture-book landscapes, a visit here is an experience beyond words. Marvel at The Great Wall, the 6,000 Terra Cotta soldiers of Xian, a cruise on the Li River and Forbidden City.
HONG KONG. This bustling metropolis is one of the most exciting cities in the world, famous for its duty-free shopping, nightlife and international cuisine. You will delight in the bright stalls of the open air market and the harbour community where thousands of Chinese have lived and worked for centuries.
SINGAPORE. With an interesting mixture of Chinese, Malay, East Indian, Sinhalese and many other cultures, Singapore is considered the Crossroads of Asia. You will enjoy exploring on your own here, shopping and bargaining in the various open air markets.
BANGKOK. The 1300 year old capital of Thailand, formerly Siam, is nicknamed Venice of the East for its network of canals. Bangkok is known for its unique and wonderful temples and palaces: a fantasy in stone and marble.
In each of these places we have planned a full program including the most interesting attractions and special dinners featuring local colour and entertainment. English-speaking local guides will be on hand to give a comprehensive commentary on the history, lifestyle and attractions. This tour is suitable for the fit and active traveller.
Please note the following: For the April tour, “Day 1” consists of a late night departure from Canada, followed by a day crossing the International Dateline, and then arrival in Shanghai the following day. The October tour has a morning departure from Canada, with arrival in Shanghai the following day. All inclusions, including number of hotel nights and meals, plus all sightseeing, are identical for both tours.
