We begin with 4-nights in the capital of Havana, with sightseeing in both the old and modern sections. From here we also enjoy an excursion to Pinar del Rio, an area of picturesque valleys and dramatic landscapes.
We then transfer to Cienfuegos on Cuba’s southern coast for a 4-night stay. Known as the "Pearl of the South", this area has Cuba’s most beautiful bay. As one of Cuba’s main seaports it is a major centre of the sugar, coffee and tobacco trades. There is a well-preserved historic centre with lovely architecture in the neoclassic style. From here we enjoy excursions to Trinidad - the crown jewel of Cuba's colonial cities, and Santa Clara - home to the monument honouring the revolutionary Ernesto Che Guevara.
We continue to Varadero, Cuba's most popular resort area, for a 6-night stay. Known for its beautiful white sandy beaches and turquoise blue waters, Varadero is ideal for swimming and strolling on the beach. In Varadero we will stay at the 4-star All-Inclusive Melia Las Antillas. This luxurious beachside resort is surrounded by lush tropical gardens and a large outdoor pool and beachfront area with umbrella service, lounge chairs and hammocks. The resort also has a gym and health centre. An array of daily activities is offered, as well as nightly entertainment. There are four restaurants - one buffet style, 2 a-la-carte and a beach grill serving Cuban, Italian and International cuisine. Local and international beverages are served 24 hours in the Lobby bar and Piano bar, and during the day at the beach and pool bars. The modern and bright guestrooms are furnished with 2 twin beds or a king bed, shower/bath, hairdryer, satellite TV with English speaking channels, air conditioning, direct dial telephone, safe, minibar (extra charge), in room safe and a balcony or terrace.
